• Dr Tim Lowry

    Clinical and Forensic Psychologist

    Dr Tim Lowry is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist with substantial experience in clinical assessment and treatment, having worked across both government mental health and private psychology practice settings for two decades. He works with individuals (adults and adolescents), couples, and families, and has completed training in a range of therapies.

     

    Tim works with those with major mental health concerns, histories of trauma, addictions (including gambling), and other psychological and interpersonal issues. Tim often works with individuals with complex presentations, including those with co-occuring mental and physical health issues, long term relationship and interpersonal difficulties, and those experiencing relationship problems/distress.

     

    Tim also works with individuals engaging in offending and problematic behaviours (e.g., stalking, sexualised behaviours). He has completed training in a range of specialised forensic and risk assessment tools, and provides individualised treatments drawing on evidence-based and effective intervention frameworks.

     

    Tim holds a Master of Clinical Psychology and Doctor of Psychology (Clinical) from the University of Queensland, Master of Forensic Mental Health (Griffith University), and Master of Public Health (University of Newcastle). He is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and Australian Clinical Psychology Association, and is a Fellow of the APS Colleges of Clinical and Forensic Psychologists. He provides supervision to psychologists and other mental health professionals.
